Little Mommy

This weekend it was so hot (again!) that we couldn't play much outside, so we amused ourselves this time by going to the toy store. Gigi told us that Catherine had fun playing with dolls at the Cherub's Clubhouse, so we thought maybe some doll furniture and a little play kitchen might be in order. I had no idea whether she would like it or not. Boy were we surprised when she yelled "Baby!" as soon as we opened the box with the new doll, and immediately placed her in the highchair and started feeding her. The meal involved the same "Ahh's," "yum, yum's," and "good's" that we incorporate into our dinners with her! Today she insisted that we feed the baby while she ate her meals, and she gave the baby a kiss and put her in her crib before bedtime. This baby goes with us everywhere now. Who would have guessed that wild-and-crazy Catherine was such a calm, nurturing mommy!
