Two-month Check-up

We went to see Dr. Mary again yesterday.  Brace yourselves for this...Andrew has surpassed Catherine in size at the same age.  He was 13 lbs, 11 oz and 24 1/2 inches long.  That puts him now in the 90th%(!!) for boys his age.  Go Andrew!  He is doing well, sleeping at night (he went from 9 pm until 7 am Monday night, but I think that was a fluke...normally it is more like to 9 pm until 4:45 am,) holding up his head, and laughing and cooing at us all the time.  I'm so proud of my big boy!

The Unofficial Start to Summer

It may be the unofficial start, but we kicked off summer in full swing this weekend.  There were trips to the park, car-washing adventures, excursions to the pool, and even a little all-American trip to the soda shop.  Come on, Summer!

Catherine jumped right back into the pool.  Swimming lessons start next week, and we hope to shed the extra devices by the end of the summer.

Happy Two-Month Birthday!

Last Day of School

What a bittersweet day it was--the last day of school.  I cannot tell you how much we have enjoyed Catherine's class and teachers this year.  She has learned and changed so much because of them.  I only hope we are as lucky next year as we were this one.  All final days come with a party, and when you are three, a party includes parents, chicken nuggets, and cookie cake!

This is Catherine's class.  Pictures were taken 2 days after Andrew's arrival, so she was PROUDLY wearing her Big Sister Shirt.  What a group of cuties!  We will miss every one of these kids!!

Here are all the girls--they were a close knit group.  The teachers said if one was hurt or feeling bad, the other five would gather around and hug, pat, and mother the injured one.  So sweet.

Mother's Day

Ah, my First Mother's Day as the mother of two.  It was a good day, too.  Grandmom and Granddad were passing through town after a week driving the Natchez Trail.  Aunt Allison had a long weekend off of work, so she decided to come stay with us as well.  What a treat!
