Catherine's Christmas, Part 1

Catherine's Christmas celebration is coming in two parts this year. Logistics just required than some presents be opened in Birmingham or else there would be no room for any people to actually fit in the car for the trip to Tennessee.

Friday night was Catherine's Christmas with Jennifer. Gigi came over for a night of fun while Jim and I went to see The Nutty Nutcracker. The evening started with presents. Catherine started off a little hesitatingly with the wrapping paper, taking off small pieces, and even stopping a few times to take these small pieces to the trash can. Despite that, she LOVED her new doll. We found out later, that there were 2 more boxes with a doctor kit and some bathtub toys, including bathtub paints and musical instruments. That is HEAVEN in Catherine's world! Thanks, Gigi!
Then, this morning, we unwrapped our Driscoll presents. Catherine was a little more enthusiastic about the ripping of the paper this time. She loved playing with each toy as it was revealed. We had to drag her away to get her dressed for our trip today. Thank you Great Grandpa and Grandma Bets, and Grandpa and Vikki!
