On Friday, she went to her Fall Festival at school. Rain forced the event indoors, so it was hot and crowded, but she still found some fun activities.
The Pumpkin Walk was a favorite.
As was the bouncy slide.

We went to Boo at the Zoo on Saturday Night. Note to self--go much earlier in the month next time, because it was way crowded. We hit it early, though, and got to do everything we wanted before the lines got too long and before it was dinnertime.
The "Scare-ou-sel" went backwards, and Catherine thought that was awesome.
The Haunted Express took us past all kinds of lights and spiders and graveyards, oh my.
The Giant Talking Pumpkin was a hit, too.
Then today, our neighborhood had a small fundraiser fall festival for tornado relief. It came complete with everything a neighborhood festival should have, like a bouncy ball house, clowns making balloon animals, cookie decorating, and even pumpkin bowling.
The absolute BEST part about the neighborhood festival was THE FIRETRUCK! (A little history--we drive past the fire station every time we leave the neighborhood. Catherine always waves high, or comments that the truck doors are open, that the garage is closed, or that it is gone helping people. When we see it at the local stores, she is always mesmerized, and the last time we were at Wal-Mart, they rang the bell for us! So great!) Just look at her expression when she got to actually SIT on the Firetruck!
Whew! What a time! And it isn't even Halloween, yet!
